Job Summary:

As an Associate Software Engineer, you will meaningfully contribute to the software development team. This team is responsible for all stages of the software development lifecycle, including design, implementation, and testing activities. The team develops industry-leading commercial software, known for its innovation and usability. Specifically, the software features real-time scalable solutions based on Rockwell’s Manufacturing Execution System (MES). These solutions are often integrated with machine automation and control systems, as well as ERP software.

The Essentials – You Will Have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
• 1 or more year of experience in new product design of software or software systems including background with large-scale enterprise system development projects.

The Preferred – You Might Also Have:

• Experience with data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented designs in Java.
• Knowledge of multiple design patterns for enterprise applications
• Familiarity with UI development with Java Swing clients and web technologies
• Familiarity with Object-oriented analysis and design using common design patterns.
• Familiarity with database design / programming in SQL Server and Oracle.
• Familiarity with common development tools as Eclipse, SVN, GitLab, JUnit, JIRA, Jenkins, ANT and Maven
• Understanding of modern software delivery practices like rapid prototyping, CI/CD, containerization, virtualization and multiple test strategies like TDD / BDD
• Experience working in SAFe methodology

Your Responsibilities:

You will be responsible for active participation in requirements development, coding, and testing in all stages of the software development lifecycle.

You must collaborate with multiple global teams and require you to work in the large project teams.

Joining Rockwell Automation Software Development group allows you to become part of a team. This team is committed to using reliable and well-thought-out engineering and software development practices. These practices include SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework).

You will report to the Team Lead, Software Engineering and have a hybrid schedule working in Hinjewadi, Pune, India

• Develop and document code, according to the development process, that satisfies the software design.
• Develop unit test plans.
• Report and analyze, debug, and correct anomalies.
• Participate in reviews of documents, designs, code, test cases and user documentation.
• Provide work estimates and status report. Maintain interaction to ensure assigned tasks are completed.
• Partner with others through mutually supportive professional relationships.
