Job Description:
Come join the all-new Sales Data applications organization which is at the intersection of Sales, AI and Data cloud. Multiple Q3 engineers are needed to make a big impact while working in the exciting AI space. These opportunities are in the HYD (primary) and BLR (alternate) centers and will have their own charter. We are looking for multiple Q3 engineers at AMTS level to come and help us build next-generation products. You will be working with some of the finest Q3s in Salesforce who have not only excelled in their role but have also developed tools like Bento, Q3Bot, ScratchBot, Taleggio, Anomaly Detection, Datagen agent, BWC Agent etc. that are used across teams & Salesforce. As a Q3 engineer, you will influence the design and drive our # value Trust across teams. You will need to have hands-on programming experience (Java, JS preferable) and need to know how to produce a good test plan/spec.
Job Responsibilities:
The AMTS engineer will contribute to the design, development, validation, and evaluation of AI-assisted tools and workflows using modern large language models (LLMs). This role requires solid technical fundamentals, a quality-first mindset, and hands-on experience assessing AI response accuracy, relevance, and reliability.
The AMTS will work closely with senior engineers and leads, take ownership of well-defined components, and help implement scalable testing, evaluation frameworks, and guardrails for AI-driven systems. The role offers strong growth opportunities toward deeper technical ownership and leadership in AI-enabled quality initiatives in Q3 and beyond.
- As a relatively new employee, you are still learning about the processes and tools to do your job. You require mentoring from your senior Q3 peers, but you are an eager and active leaner.
- Basic understanding of software development process, quality issues related to it, and the use and value of testing in ensuring quality. Basic understanding of quality tools and processes.
- Basic understanding of Scrum Methodologies
- Influences SFDC quality tools and processes by providing feedback and suggestions for improvements.
- Basic understanding of an object oriented language as appropriate for their team. Basic understanding of database concepts with the ability to write basic SQL queries. Ability to use configuration management tools, IDEs etc to build and run localhost as appropriate for their team.
- Creates new automation with mentoring. May fix bugs in current automation. Adept at using annotation tools and follows best practices. Contributes to increasing automated test coverage.
- May own features with guidance.
- Understands common customer workflows in the feature area and how often a customer may run into a test. Uses this information to design and prioritize tests. Avoids redundant tests and equivalence class issues. Knows how to use ad-hoc testing as a supplement to test case creation. Attends usability studies in their feature area to keep customer perspective fresh. Uses information gathered from usability studies to improve test case coverage. Has test plans reviewed by senior Q3 peers before sending them to the team for review.
- Demonstrates ability to execute planned tests correctly with guidance. Shows competency in all steps of test execution: test plan review and understanding; test setup; test execution; failure reporting; test result reporting. Is able to use Dice and other internal monitoring tools for root cause issues. May participate in other teams’ testing parties.
- Writes good bugs with clear reproduction steps and makes customer impact clear. With guidance able to accurately file bugs in terms of priority, severity, and scheduled build. The bug fix verification queue is always low and is self-monitored. Understands bug fix verification process and seeks assistance to ensure thorough test coverage when closing out bugs. Bug filing at both the UI/usability level and lower level functionality.
- May assist other engineers in executing tests and reporting results in support of release activities.
- May participate in reviewing and assessing escalated cases with over-sight by higher grade engineers.
- Supports other AMTS engineers and new team members on the team’s standard procedures.

- Design, build, and enhance AI-assisted tools leveraging Large Language Models (LLMs) such as Cursor, Claude, and Windsurf.
- Develop and optimize prompt strategies, agent workflows, and orchestration layers to support complex AI-driven use cases.
- Integrate AI capabilities into existing platforms, APIs, and internal systems to improve testability and productivity.
- Define and implement robust frameworks to validate AI outputs for accuracy, relevance, safety, and consistency.
- Perform both qualitative and quantitative evaluation of model responses, including hallucination detection, bias analysis, and edge-case identification.
- Establish benchmarks, test suites, and automated evaluation pipelines for AI-powered tools and workflows.
- Collaborate closely with peers and technical leads to drive best practices in prompt engineering, AI evaluation, and quality standards.
- Ensure AI solutions adhere to internal quality guidelines, ethical standards, and data privacy requirements.
- Implement guardrails, fallback mechanisms, and monitoring to ensure reliability of AI-generated outputs.
- Hands-on experience in validating, evaluating, and benchmarking AI/LLM-based responses in real-world systems.
