Requirements:
For This Role, You Will Need:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, AI/ML, or related fields.
- 1–5 years of hands-on experience in AI/ML model development, deployment, and optimization, with a track record of driving innovation and efficiency in real-world applications.
- Experience with large language models, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), agent architectures, and industrial AI applications.
- Understanding of distributed systems, cloud/on-prem architectures, APIs, and enterprise software development practices.
- Understanding of software development processes, including definition of requirements, testing and validation, and deployment.
Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:
- We’re looking for someone with strong expertise in machine learning, deep learning, and generative AI, including LLMs, Agentic AI and its applications. Proficiency in C#, Python, TensorFlow/PyTorch is essential, along with hands-on experience deploying AI in real-world, industrial environments.
- Prior experience with Emerson Ovation, industrial control systems (DCS/SCADA), or power plant operations.
- Knowledge of operational technology (OT) networks, cybersecurity principles, and safety-critical system constraints.
- Experience deploying AI solutions in regulated or mission-critical environments.
- Familiarity with ML Ops, prompt engineering, and AI reliability frameworks.
Job Responsibilities:
In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
- In this role, you’ll help Translate Emerson’s digital transformation goals into executable, scalable agent development activities.
- Work for AI-enabled applications and agent-based solutions.
- Implement AI agents within the Ovation Intelligence ecosystem.
- Work with team of AI engineers, software developers, and domain SMEs in developing AI agents.
- Actively participate in the design and implementation of the Agent Builder platform used to create custom user agents for diagnostics, automation, engineering workflows, and operational support.
- Ensure the quality of the agents to meaningfully improve operator awareness, reduce troubleshooting time, enhance engineering productivity, and enable predictive maintenance workflows.
- Work closely with Engineering, Architecture, UX, QA, and domain SMEs to define agent use cases and deployment strategies.
- Work with Cybersecurity teams to enforce Emerson’s rigorous security standards for AI-driven solutions.
- Work with infrastructure and platform teams to align compute, GPU usage, and performance requirements.
