Eligibility Criteria for Vocera Careers:

• You should have 3-7 years of experience
• Your Hands-on experience in Java, OOPs, Multithreading etc should be exceptional

Challenge format: 

• Challenge will have 2 full-stack application development questions.
• Candidates can attempt any one question of their choice and make the submission

Technical Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• 3-8 years of software development experience with demonstrated experience developing complex, event-driven enterprise software applications
• Understanding and experience with IP telephony communications standards, RTP, SIP, STUN, TURN.
• Experience developing and understanding of enterprise SaaS and microservices architectures.
• Ability to analyze, design, architect and resolve technical issues in production.
• Experience of developing applications using Java and Linux.
• Experience with database programming using SQL, Java/JDBC.
• Extensive experience in working and implementing Agile development process.

Competencies:

• Excellent knowledge of Java programming language, object-oriented analysis and design patterns, and understanding of multithreading concepts.
• Work with other developers and respond to customer issues and deliver innovatively features/enhancements that improve customer productivity and reduce the total cost of ownership.
• Work with Product Management to refine requirements.
• Understanding of networking and web server technology a plus.
• Experience implementing automated testing platform and unit tests.
• Proficient understanding of versioning tools such as Git and/or Perforce and build tools such as Gradle, Maven or Ant.
• Familiar with Continuous Integration.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a professional attitude and demeanour
• Proactive, self-starter, able to work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Well organized with strong attention to detail; proactively ensures work is accurate
• Desire to make an impact on our platform application development team through work on our voice server-side application stack.
• Positive attitude and work ethic.
• Strong debugging skills

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop highly scalable low latency applications for our mission-critical Vocera voice server solution to deliver high availability and high-performance software.
• Contribute in all phases of lifecycle development including analysis, design, coding, testing and implementation, writing well designed, testable and efficient code.
• Research customer issues, determine appropriate resolutions and report findings back to the team.
• Support continuous improvement by investigating alternative technologies and presenting them for their architectural tradeoffs and review.
