Ways to Stand Out From The Crowd:

• A strong track record of project delivery for large, cross-functional, projects. 
• AWS Solutions Architect or greater certification, or equivalent experience.
• Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud Platform Certifications
• Proficiency in both Windows and Linux.
• Experience with RDBMS operations
• Capacity planning.
• Comfort in technology/engineering advocacy and public speaking

Desired Skills & Experience:

• 1-2 years of experience in software development, including support and operational duties.
• Minimum  of experience leading a development or operations team.
• Experience with complex migrations, such as on-prem to cloud.
• A strong understanding of core internet technologies (e.g. TCP/IP)
• Programming skills in at least one high-level programming language (C++, Python, Java, C#, etc.).
• Experience with AWS technologies – including EC2, RDS, VPC, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, CloudFront, CloudFormation. Similar experience with other cloud providers valued.
• Experience with automation and IaC (CloudFormation, Terraform, Chef, etc.)
• Experience in designing resilient and fault-tolerant systems.
• Availability to work in shifts and be part of the 24×7 on-call rotation.
• Availability to work flexible hours in order to overlap with European and American teams.
• (1pm-9pm IST is a possible schedule, and we are flexible.)
• Fluency in English and good communication skills.

Job Responsibilities and Expectations:

•  Align with company goals, raise the standard of engineering, introduce new technologies, mentor team members, mitigate risks.
• Be responsible for growing the team by leading the hiring process and mentoring new hires.
• Manage performance and career growth of reports.
• Manage team capacity allocation against prioritized commitments.
• Track and report status of team initiatives.
• Oversee planning, execution, and automation of complex operations such as on-prem to cloud migrations.
• Oversee development and maintenance of AWS based services, using API Gateway, Lambda, Dynamo DB, and other AWS services.
• Oversee development and maintenance of tooling in the OutSystems ecosystem, automating manual processes.
• Last-line troubleshoot of complex incidents created by the solutions developed in your team, having on-call support.
• Be a key stakeholder in the design of cloud services so that they are resilient from day 0.
