Job Overview: The Developer 2 is responsible for development, maintenance, troubleshooting and testing. A Developer 2 works independently, under broad direction from experienced developers, mentors, and/or a member of the development leadership team. Developers at this level are focused on building deeper and/or broader technical knowledge.
Responsibilities
- Receives daily guidance from development or project leaders
- Works under general supervision with few direct instructions
- Grows subject matter experience in programming, product and/or platform for team
- Responsible for maintaining departmental documentation of areas of subject matter expertise
- May be assigned to entire or phases of projects
- Exercises judgment to solve moderately complex problems with a limited number of variables
- Work requires a good understanding of the theoretical and applied basis for one technology
- Has developed experience in solution creation with increased business acumen
Qualifications
- Working experience of .NET technologies and/or Web Technologies would be preferred
- Has scored at least 60% throughout academics
- Ability to work independently as well as in teams
- Experience programming in structured languages
- Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose issues
- Ability to follow a formal software development methodology
- Ability to accept and adapt to changing development tasks and priorities
- Typically requires BS or equivalent and 1-4 years of related experience or MS with 0-2 years of experience
- Solid understanding of object oriented concepts
- Attention to detail
- Or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the principal duties of the job
- Ability to accurately follow directions
